Well, in this game, the bullets ricochet with a slight upward movement. Unfortunately, the bullets just don't ricochet very well.
The graphics are very well done, and the game's 3D engine is nice and easy to use. It's the kind of game that can't even use the Playstation's resolution booster. Oni looks great, especially on the Playstation. It can be used to restore health in the middle of a fight. The health pack is just a small health unit. The other is found in the oni-specific levels. One is found in each level - a health pack. The game is fairly linear and doesn't seem to offer any true level-ups. I haven't found myself blowing up too many enemies, but then again, I'm not trying to level up my oni at all. You can also use the self-destruct option to blow up a bunch of stuff. It's quite fun to figure out where the next enemy is lurking.
The game features plenty of levels, but they never get boring. Some of them use knives, some use grenades. Some of the enemies are armed with guns and can shoot back. It's a fast-paced game that keeps things moving, with no redundancy. The controls are very easy to use and the game keeps you interested at all times. Oni has everything you expect from a third-person action game.
